APC Colombia invites officials working at government organizations at the national and regional levels to qualify their technical skills and benefit from the technical cooperation offered by partner governments, through trainning courses.
The main purpose of the trainning courses is to share experiences and knowledge of successful development models in other countries to implement them in Colombia. This trainning course is offered by the Government of China and will be held at the Academy for International Business Officials (AIBO), from June 5, to June 25, 2018.

Age: Under 45 for officials at or under director’s level; under 50 for officials at director general’s level
Health : In good health with health certificate issued by the local public hospitals; without diseases with which entry to China is disallowed by China’s laws and regulations; without severe chronic diseases such as serious high blood pressure, cardiovascular/cerebrovascular diseases and diabetes; without mental diseases or epidemic diseases that are likely to cause serious threat to public health; not in the process of recovering after a major operation or in the process of acute diseases; not seriously disabled or pregnant.
Language: Capable of listening, speaking, reading and writing in English.
This seminar includes presentations and field trip. All presentations are given by government officials or experts, covering topics such as “General Review of China”, “China’s Opening-up & Economic Development”, “The Governing Ideas and Style of China’ s New Leadership”, “The vision of establishing the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road”, “The protection of human rights and the promotion of gender equality”, “The empowerment of women and girls”, “The emphasis on investment in children”, and “Pay more attention to women and children”, “Chinese cultural experience” and so on.
Besides, participants will visit other cities outside Beijing, where they will meet with local government officials, visit enterprises and exchange ideas with them so that they can get a better understanding of China’s livelihood and social development.
Required Documents:
1. Application form: The candidate must fill in only the fields translated from Chinese into English and found in the format table, these must be completed in English and capital letters, but keep the original language of names and addresses (including the name of the Seminar). The form has to be signed and include a photo of the applicant, otherwise it won't be accepted.
2. Candidates must fulfill the required technical profile for the Seminar.
3. A recent good health certificate issued and signed by a certified Doctor (maximum 3 months).
4. Copy of a valid passport (minimum validity of 6 months since the start of the course).
5. Copy of the current American visa (preferable but not mandatory).
6. Letter of presentation in Spanish and signed by the legal representative of the institution that supports the application, including explicit institutional commitment to support the nomination of the candidate and ensure that, in case of being selected, will authorize the candidate to travel. This letter should be addressed to Sergio Alfonso Londoño Zurek, General Director of APC Colombia. It is recommended to indicate in this document the reason why the institution presents the candidate.
* People who have participated in past seminars in China may apply again after two (2) years of completing the first participation.

3. Recommendation: send a digital copy of the application before the date of the closing of receipt of documents, so it can be check by APC-Colombia in order to make corrections on time. Remember: No documents are received in hard copy, all the process is done through the email indicated. Also, keep in mind that the Embassy will inform their decision directly to the selected beneficiaries only.

Expenses: air tickets (departing and returning to Bogotá), medical insurance, hotel, transportation and food will be cover by the offering Government.
Additional expenses must be covered by the participant.

It is the applicant's responsibility to carefully read the published information and submit documents that fulfill all the requirements. Incomplete, illegible or late applications will be discard (The applicantions will be accepted until noon (12:00) of the deadline.
