Commissioned by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China, Shanghai Business School is responsible for the organization of the seminar. The Seminar mainly focuses on a general review of China, Urban Development and Plan for the Structure of Urban-rural development in China, case on the Development of Middle and Small Cities, the overall plan and the implementation of the Urban Development of Shanghai. The seminar will take discussions, case studies, interactive lectures as ways of learning, while emphasizing the integration of teaching and practice.

In good health with health certificate issued by the local public hospitals; without diseases with which entry to China is disallowed by China’s laws and regulations; without severe chronic diseases such as serious high blood pressure, cardiovascular/cerebrovascular diseases and diabetes; without mental diseases or epidemic diseases that are likely to cause serious threat to public health; not in the process of recovering after a major operation or in the process of acute diseases; not seriously disabled or pregnant.
Capable of listening, speaking, reading and writing in English.
Family members or friends should not follow.
The seminar will fully present the development and achievements of urban infrastructure planning and construction in China including Shanghai. The participants can have an in-depth view of China’s experiences and achievements in urban infrastructure planning and construction. In addition, it is also expected that the seminar serves as a good platform of communication for China and countries in Latin American, Caribbean and south Pacific regions so as to promote their further cooperation and common development.
Required Documents:
1. Application form: The candidate must fill in only the fields translated from Chinese into English and found in the format table, these must be completed in English and capital letters, but keep the original language of names and addresses (including the name of the Seminar). The form has to be signed and include a photo of the applicant, otherwise it won't be accepted.
2. Candidates must fulfill the required technical profile for the Seminar.
3. A recent good health certificate issued and signed by a certified Doctor (maximum 3 months).
4. Copy of a valid passport (minimum validity of 6 months since the start of the course).
5. Copy of valid American visa (preferable but not mandatory).
6. Letter of presentation in Spanish and signed by the legal representative of the institution that supports the application, including explicit institutional commitment to support the nomination of the candidate and ensure that, in case of being selected, will authorize the candidate to travel. This letter should be addressed to Angela Ospina de Nicholls, General Director of APC Colombia. It is recommended to indicate in this document the reason why the institution presents the candidate.
* People who have participated in past seminars in China may apply again after two (2) years of completing the first participation.

Expenses: air tickets (departing and returning to Bogotá), medical insurance, hotel, transportation and food will be cover by the offering Government.
