Se invita a los funcionarios de entidades y organizaciones aliadas a nivel nacional y territorial para que cualifiquen sus competencias y se beneficien de la cooperación técnica que ofrecen otros gobiernos, a través de los cursos cortos que socializa APC-Colombia.
El propósito principal de los cursos es transferir experiencias y conocimientos de modelos exitosos de desarrollo en otros países para implementarlos en Colombia.
En ese sentido, se remite la información correspondiente al curso otorgado por el Gobierno de China que se desarrollará en Yuan Longping High-tech Agriculture Co., Ltd., del 18 de julio de 2018 al 31 de agosto de 2018.

Related agricultural personnel in the agriculture field of developing countries
Under 45 for officials at or under director’s level; under 50 for officials at director general’s level.
Capable of listening, speaking, reading and writing in English.
In good health with health certificate issued by the local hospitals.
The training course will focus on the Hybrid Rice High-yield Cultivation Technology and basic theory of Hybrid Rice Breeding, Seed Production as well as around other topics, such as The Achievements of China’s Opening-up and Reform, The Development Experiences of China’s Agriculture, Chinese Traditions and Culture,Farm Machinery, Grain Storing and Processing, Plant Protection and other related agricultural Technologies. Father of Hybrid Rice-Prof. Yuan Longping will also share with the participants about his experiences on developing hybrid rice for ensuring food security.
The training will adopt the way of lecture, visiting and field practice as well. The visiting to the agricultural enterprises and institutes will be organized. Besides, field practice and experiments, field visiting and trips to the hybrid rice bases in Huaihua and Zhang Jiajie city of Hunan Province will be organized for the participants to get practical experiences and exchange ideas with local experienced experts.
Through the training course, the purpose of strengthening the friendship and cooperation with different developing countries will be obtained. What’s more, the participants are expected to apply what they learnt from China into practice to promote the rice production in their respective countries and make greater contribution to the food security of their countries.
Required Documents:
1. Application form: The candidate must fill in only the fields translated from Chinese into English and found in the format table, these must be completed in English and capital letters, but keep the original language of names and addresses (including the name of the Seminar). The form has to be signed and include a photo of the applicant, otherwise it won't be accepted.
2. Candidates must fulfill the required technical profile for the Seminar.
3. A recent good health certificate issued and signed by a certified Doctor (maximum 3 months).
4. Copy of a valid passport (minimum validity of 6 months since the start of the course).
5. Copy of valid American visa (preferable but not mandatory).
6. Letter of presentation in Spanish and signed by the legal representative of the institution that supports the application, including explicit institutional commitment to support the nomination of the candidate and ensure that, in case of being selected, will authorize the candidate to travel. This letter should be addressed to Sergio Alfonso Londoño Zurek, General Director of APC Colombia. It is recommended to indicate in this document the reason why the institution presents the candidate.
* People who have participated in past seminars in China may apply again after two (2) years of completing the first participation.

3. Recommendation: send a digital copy of the application before the date of the closing of receipt of documents, so it can be check by APC-Colombia in order to make corrections on time. Remember: No documents are received in hard copy, all the process is done through the email indicated. Also, keep in mind that the Embassy will inform their decision directly to the selected beneficiaries only.

Costos cubiertos por la Beca: tiquetes aéreos (saliendo desde Bogotá y retornando a la misma ciudad), seguro médico, hospedaje, traslados y alimentación.
Costos a cargo del becario seleccionado: otros gastos adicionales no estipulados.
Para las oficinas de representaciones regionales de Entidades del Orden Nacional, solicitamos que antes de postularse a cualquier curso se comuniquen con el punto focal de la Dirección Nacional a cargo de los asuntos de cooperación y relaciones internacionales y consulten con ellos lo relativo a requisitos y procedimiento de postulación.
