APC Colombia invites officials working at government and allied organizations at the national and regional levels to qualify their technical skills and benefit from the technical cooperation offered by partner governments, through trainning courses.
The main purpose of the trainning courses is to share experiences and knowledge of successful development models in other countries to implement them in Colombia. This trainning course is offered by the Government of China and will be held at the Biogas Institute of Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (BIOMA), P.R. China from August 03 to September 27, 2018.

Experiment: separation and cultivation of anaerobic microorganisms, microbial molecular biology experiment, Experimental determinations of TS\VS of raw material for biogas fermentation, Experimental determinations of COD concentration of raw material for biogas fermentation, the introduction of anaerobic digestion experiment start-up and quick test of methane content in biogas
On-site practice: Design and construction of small biogas devices for the treatment and utilization of agricultural waste
Visit: large and medium biogas plants, household digesters, demonstration sites for recycling utilization of rural energies, rural biogas service networks, new countryside, enterprises of new energies
Required Documents:
1. Application form: The candidate must fill in only the fields translated from Chinese into English and found in the format table, these must be completed in English and capital letters, but keep the original language of names and addresses (including the name of the Seminar). The form has to be signed and include a photo of the applicant, otherwise it won't be accepted.
2. Candidates must fulfill the required technical profile for the Seminar.
3. A recent good health certificate issued and signed by a certified Doctor (maximum 3 months).
4. Copy of a valid passport (minimum validity of 6 months since the start of the course).
5. Copy of valid American visa (preferable but not mandatory).
6. Letter of presentation in Spanish and signed by the legal representative of the institution that supports the application, including explicit institutional commitment to support the nomination of the candidate and ensure that, in case of being selected, will authorize the candidate to travel. This letter should be addressed to Sergio Alfonso Londoño Zurek, General Director of APC Colombia. It is recommended to indicate in this document the reason why the institution presents the candidate.
* People who have participated in past seminars in China may apply again after two (2) years of completing the first participation.

3. Recommendation: send a digital copy of the application before the date of the closing of receipt of documents, so it can be check by APC-Colombia in order to make corrections on time. Also, keep in mind that the Embassy will inform their decision directly to the selected beneficiaries only.

Expenses: air tickets (departing and returning to Bogotá), medical insurance, hotel, transportation and food will be cover by the offering Government.
Additional expenses must be covered by the participant.
