APC Colombia invites officials working at government organizations at the national and regional levels to qualify their technical skills and benefit from the technical cooperation offered by partner governments, through trainning courses.
The main purpose of the trainning courses is to share experiences and knowledge of successful development models in other countries to implement them in Colombia. This trainning course is offered by the Government of China and will be held at theTianjin TEDA Group Co., Ltd, from July 25, to August 14, 2018.

The participants shall meet the requirements of lectures in terms of listening, speaking, reading and writing in English.
Through years’ hard work by the technical persons, China has made big breakthroughs in many key points in the field of seawater utilization in terms of seawater desalination and direct utilization of seawater etc. Several techniques have got an international level such as low-temperature and multi-effect seawater desalination and seawater cycle cooling etc.
Through lectures and tours, the seminar will help the attendants better understand the development of seawater desalination and multipurpose utilization, master the project planning, know about the environmental impact and inspection of the project and view the expanding application and multipurpose utilization of the project. The seminar contains 16 lectures on the following subjects: General Situation of Water Resources, Technology of Seawater Desalination and Multipurpose Utilization, Seawater Intake and Pretreatment, Membrane Technology and Applications, the Reverse Osmosis Membrane Technology, Simulation and Monitoring of Desalination Plant and the Assessment on Environmental Impact of Desalination Projects etc. The seminar also includes 6 inspection tours on local enterprises in Tianjin, Beijing and Shenzhen.
Required Documents:
1. Application form: The candidate must fill in only the fields translated from Chinese into English and found in the format table, these must be completed in English and capital letters, but keep the original language of names and addresses (including the name of the Seminar). The form has to be signed and include a photo of the applicant, otherwise it won't be accepted.
2. Candidates must fulfill the required technical profile for the Seminar.
3. A recent good health certificate issued and signed by a certified Doctor (maximum 3 months).
4. Copy of a valid passport (minimum validity of 6 months since the start of the course).
5. Copy of valid American visa (preferable but not mandatory).
6. Letter of presentation in Spanish and signed by the legal representative of the institution that supports the application, including explicit institutional commitment to support the nomination of the candidate and ensure that, in case of being selected, will authorize the candidate to travel. This letter should be addressed to Sergio Alfonso Londoño Zurek, General Director of APC Colombia. It is recommended to indicate in this document the reason why the institution presents the candidate.
7. English certificate - Level B2: Certification issued by any certified English academy in Colombia or international tests (IELTS, TOEFL, Michigan, etc).
* People who have participated in past seminars in China may apply again after two (2) years of completing the first participation.

3. Recommendation: send a digital copy of the application before the date of the closing of receipt of documents, so it can be check by APC-Colombia in order to make corrections on time. Remember: No documents are received in hard copy, all the process is done through the email indicated. Also, keep in mind that the Embassy will inform their decision directly to the selected beneficiaries only.

Expenses: air tickets (departing and returning to Bogotá), medical insurance, hotel, transportation and food will be cover by the offering Government.
Additional expenses must be covered by the participant.
